HYDERABAD: K.Venkatesh, the young chess player who succumbed to Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) a couple of years ago, continues to inspire many. After inspiring a Mumbai-based author to pen a book on his story, a Hindi feature film `My Phir Aaunga' is in the offing based on the hardships faced by DMD-affected persons. And more so, `Iqbal' fame Shreyas Talpade and yesteryear actress Maushmi Chatterjee would be playing the lead roles of Venkatesh and K. Sujatha his mother respectively and Mumbai-based Krishnakant Pandya would be directing the film. Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, K. Sujatha, in-charge of Venkatesh Muscular Dystrophy Foundation, said efforts were on to establish a care centre for the DMD-affected persons. As part of the efforts, a ghazal concert by music maestro Jagjit Singh is being organised on October 2 at Hyderabad International Convention Centre to raise funds for establishment of the centre, she said. Tickets are priced at Rs. 1,500 for four members, Rs.1,000 per couple, Rs. 500 per person.
