One killed as car overturns

Bharat Kumar Dharat, 21, died while two of his friends sustained serious injuries when the car in which they were travelling overturned near National Academy of Construction in Madhapur after midnight on Monday.

The three friends from Begum Bazar area were returning to their houses after attending a `dandiya' programme when the accident occurred around 2 a.m., the local police said.

Woman succumbs to burns

Laksmi, 30, who set herself ablaze reportedly dejected over her husband's failure to buy clothes for her one-year-old son's first birthday three days ago, died while undergoing treatment on Monday.

She was a resident of Gaganpahad in Rajendranagar.
