3 babies abandoned at hospital

HYDERABAD : Three new-born babies -- two girls and a boy -- were abandoned by their respective mothers at Government Maternity Hospital, Nayapul, in the past two weeks.

While a woman Lilly, 20, of Shamshabad deserted her baby boy within hours of delivering the child on September 1, another woman Parvati abandoned her baby girl the next day.

Hospital records state Parvathi is from Ravindranaiknagar.

In the third case, a woman Parveena Begum, 22, abandoned her four-day-old baby girl and went away on September 11. She was from Kishanbagh area.

The hospital authorities informed the Charminar police about the three cases on Tuesday.
