Penalty of Rs.1.26 crore for stealing power

NEW DELHI: The live concert of famous Sufi and Punjabi pop singer Hans Raj Hans at a Delhi Development Authority Park in New Kondli here was conducted with stolen electricity, power distribution company BSES Yamuna Power Limited has charged.

Consequently, the chief organiser Kanhaya Pradhan, has been booked for power theft. A penalty of Rs.1.26 crore has been slapped on him and a first information report lodged with the police.
