Student commits suicide

BANGALORE: A 23-year-old BBM student reportedly committed suicide in a hostel in Banashankari on Monday.

The police said Akshay, a native of Hubli, was a first year student of IBNM College. He was staying with two other students in the college's hostel.

Akshay hanged himself to death when his roommates had gone for dinner, the police said. The roommates informed the police. The police have intimated Akshay's relatives.

The police are yet to establish the reason for Akshay's action.

Body found

The body of a woman was found near Nayandahalli Railway Station in the city on Tuesday.

The police gave the name of the woman as Manjula (23).

They said she was a native of Mandya.

The police said she was working in a garment factory.

She used to live in Metro Layout, they added.
