CHENNAI: India Land and Properties, a part of Americorp, a global player in real estate investment, development and management, announced the launch of a mega IT park project here. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, S. Salai Kumaran, Director and Chief Operating Officer of the company, said the IT Park Project called `Chennai Tech Park' was being established in the Ambattur Industrial Estate on a 10-acre land. It would have a total built-up space of 2.5 million sq. ft. and involving an investment of Rs. 375 crore. Designed specially to cater to IT and ITeS companies, the tech park will have futuristic features bench-marked against the best buildings world. The first phase of the project would be completed in all respects by July next year, he said. For Americorp Group this was the first development project in the country. The park would have energy efficiency and eco-friendly features to match gold rated green building specifications, Mr. Salai Kumaran said. In a telephone conversation with this correspondent from Mumbai, Kamal Fabiani, Managing Director, Americorp group, said Chennai Tech Park would have 17 floors, including three levels in the basement. The project would have exclusive lift lobbies including VIP lift lobby, hawk eyed building management systems and foolproof security backed by 24-hour surveillance cameras. The company has appointed Shapoorji Pallonji as construction contractors.
