61 illegal migrants held

ATHENS: Greek coast guards have detained 61 illegal immigrants and arrested five suspected human smugglers on a trawler in the Aegean Sea, authorities said on Wednesday. The 27-metre vessel was stopped late on Tuesday off the islet of Rheneia, near the resort island of Mykonos, the Merchant Marine Ministry said. The migrants told authorities they were from Kashmir and had set out on their voyage from Senegal. The suspected smugglers' identities were not released. — AP
