DHARWAD: The Kousali Institute of Management Studies (KIMS) of Karnatak University, Dharwad, in association with the Consortium of University B-Schools in Karnataka (CUBS-K) will organise the first State-Level Search Conference on Management Education in Dharwad on September 30. Addressing presspersons here on Wednesday, M.S. Subhas, Director and Dean of KIMS, said the search conference "Vision- 2010" would provide a forum for all business schools in the State to present their views, problems and prospects. The conference would focus on admission and research issues, interaction with industry, faculty development programmes, networking of B-schools, instituting awards of excellence in business management and sharing of resources such as teachers, he said. Dr. Subhas said some of the BBA colleges under the university were successful, while others required help. Consequently, there was a need to take a fresh look at the way these colleges were being managed at present, he said. The Vision-2010 is scheduled to be inaugurated by Primary and Secondary Education Minister Basavaraj S. Horatti.
