NEW DELHI: Ajoy Roy pumped in eight goals, including a double hat-trick, as Sports Authority of India (East), Kolkata, thrashed St. John Berohman's Middle School, Sarguja (Chattisgarh) 11-0 in the Subroto Cup under-14 football tournament at the Ambedkar Stadium here on Wednesday. Bikash Hari (two) and Palash Thapa also contributed to the tally. Govt. inter-college, Gopeshwar Chamoli (Uttaranchal), defeated Burn Hall School, Srinagar, 7-1. Rakesh Kandari, Anoop Negi (three each) and Kapil Panwar netted for the winning team. Abid Mir scored for the Srinagar boys. In the under-17 section, Nobel Academy, Kathmandu and SAI (Eastern Centre) entered the quarterfinals. Nobel Academy defeated Habibya School (Afghanistan) 2-1. Niranjan Malla scored for Nobel before Salem found the target for Habibya. SAI blanked Zahira College, Colombo, 5-0, with T. Khammin Thang (three) and Rathin Thapa (two) completing the tally. In another league match, Victoria Institution, Kuala Lumpur, beat Government School, Dhar (Madhya Pradesh) 4-0. S. Sivanesan, Ahmad Muzaffar B. Hazizan, M. Saddam Hussain and Choi Soon Seng scored.
