ADILABAD: Nirmal legislator A. Indrakaran Reddy and Adilabad Joint Collector A. Dinakar Babu on Wednesday promised people of adequate compensation for the land which would be used for the new Nirmal by-pass road. The road was being widened as part of four-laning of NH 7 in Adilabad district. At a public meeting to elicit opinion of the people on the project, a presentation was made by officials regarding the new road alignment with stress on pollution control. Officials of the Pollution Control Board, Nizamabad, made a presentation on the efforts being made to minimise pollution. A large number of farmers, who attended the meeting, raised doubts about timely compensation. However, they expressed their willingness to part with their land for the project.
