CHANDIGARH: Indian National Lok Dal secretary-general Ajay Singh Chautala on Wednesday demanded dismissal of Haryana Power Minister Venod Sharma in the wake of "revelations'' made by a news channel and media reports about his alleged role in "subverting justice'' in the Jessica Lal murder case. In a statement here, Mr. Chautala said that after watching the television channel, it was shocking that key witnesses had reportedly admitted before "those carrying out the sting operation'' that they had been "indeed bought and influenced'' to retract their original "signed'' statements. Mr. Chautala said the INLD would urge the Governor that if the Chief Minister does not recommend removal of his colleague, then he should exercise his Constitutional power and dismiss the State Government.
