Boy drowns in river

MANGALORE: Harshendra (13) drowned when he slipped and fell into the Netravathi at Bantwal on Tuesday. According to the Bantwal Town police, Harshendra, a resident of Kemmaje in B. Muda village, was walking on the parapet wall of a kalyana mantap adjoining the river near Mahalingeshwara Temple when he fell. Police recovered the body trapped between boulders.
