Modern kitchen opened

A modern kitchen set up in the main canteen of Secretariat with Rs. 8 lakhs grant from the Government was inaugurated on Wednesday. K. Raghavan, deputy secretary (services), General Administration Department, declared the kitchen open.

Ramzan yoga camp

B.Ed team visits BRAOU

The three-member committee appointed by National Council for Teachers Education visited Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU), Hyderabad on Wednesday to explore the possibility of according permission to offer Bachelor of Education course by the university through Telugu medium, said a press release.

SCR acquires 2,200 mobile phones

The Secunderabad Division of South Central Railway, in a bid to enhance communication between its staff, particularly those on trains, has acquired 2,200 mobile phones for drivers and guards. They would be operated under closed user group network communication system, said a press release.

Medicine for needy

The Red Cross has started a medicine bank at Government Maternity Centre, Jangammet,to provide free medicines to slum dwellers. The bank was inaugurated by Governor Rameshwar Thakur on Wednesday. The Maternity Centre covers four urban health posts of Balagunj, Barkas, Parvatinagar and Umda Bazar.

Blood donated

Twenty members of the AP NGOs Association and Revenue Services Association on Wednesday donated blood at a condolence meeting organised on the eve of the fifth death anniversary of T. Sudhakar Prasad, former general secretary of NGOs Association.
