HYDERABAD: A one-stop shopping centre that too during the festive season could not have a better manifestation. More so if a short drive from the city with the family for an outing can bring down the proverbial two birds with a single shot. That could well explain `The Hindu-Eenadu Lifestyle Show' that got off to a colourful start at the Hyderabad International Convention Centre at Madhapur here on Thursday. If Assembly Speaker K.R. Suresh Reddy added the dash of stateliness while cutting the inaugural ribbon, cine star Poonam Bajwa, fresh from her tryst with Nagarjuna's `Boss', sponsored the glamour element. The Lifestyle Show, the second edition of the alliance between the two South Indian media majors in the event management cosmos, will continue till October 1 and will be open from 10 a.m. to 8.30 p.m. with the entry fee pegged at Rs.40 per head.
Lifestyle appliances
The annual event, featuring over 180 high-flying international brands in over 15 categories ranging from tiny cups and saucers to hot-in-the-market automobiles displayed in 330 stalls, has also got a number of add-ons. While the big'un in the city's electronic appliance market, Tirumala Music Centre, stunned many with their LCDs on Thursday, Siemens Home Appliances is offering surprise gifts for shoppers every one hour! More are to follow. One of the largest consumer exhibition in these parts of the country, the show features almost every lifestyle category ranging from home appliances, beauty and health products, insurance and banking, furniture and interiors, arts and handicrafts and electronics. It also includes the latest personal computers and classy laptops, automobiles and accessories, fashion and textiles, jewellery and yes, the real estate too there with a number of resorts, clubs, gardens and much more. Being managed by I Care Communication, the event is presented by Digital Technologies Limited (DTL). The associate sponsors include the Andhra Pradesh Department of Tourism, Radha Realty Corp. Pvt. Ltd. and Classic Polo while the event partners are ETV2, Big 92.7 FM, Wow Hyderabad, Taj Krishna Hotel, Novotel and Hyundai.
