HYDERABAD: A Division Bench of the High Court on Thursday directed the Central Government to pass appropriate orders by October 15 on the notification issued by the State Government seeking a CBI probe into the alleged irregularities in land acquisition for Outer Ring Road and other projects. The bench comprising Chief Justice G. S. Singhvi and Justice C. V. Nagarjuna Reddy perused the GO Ms. 240 issued in this regard. The GO called for a probe into the ORR project, HUDA townships near Mankhal and Kokapet in addition to land alienation notifications issued for the international airport near Shamshabad and APIIC hardware park at Kancha Imarat. The Bench was hearing the writ petition filed by the TD seeking a CBI probe into alleged irregularities. The Bench wanted notices to be issued to persons against whom allegations of personal gain were made such as the Chief Minister and some of his Cabinet colleagues.
