HYDERABAD: Getting a US visa is a matter of two minutes for students who are genuine in their approach and can present correct documents, feels Holly Stanton Beardow, event coordinator of Linden Educational Services of the United States. Speaking to The Hindu at a fair held at the Taj Krishna here on Wednesday, Ms. Holly said funding to management and social sciences courses was less when compared to other sciences or technological courses. This led to an increased number of scholarships for the latter courses. Indian students prefer technology or science courses as they would be able to get good funding for their studies abroad, she said. Representatives of 30 accredited universities from the US took part. Ms. Holly said education fairs would help shatter many myths apart from guiding students to choose the course they want in the best available universities. The fair was organised in association with UNITI Foundation. Details on the participating universities and courses are available on www.lindentours.com.
