Microsoft joins Hughes for broadband ICT kiosks

NEW DELHI: Microsoft Corporation India Pvt. Ltd. and Hughes on Thursday announced their commitment to work together on rolling out 5,000 broadband enabled ICT kiosks across the country. The kiosks will be deployed in 200 small towns and rural regions across India and operated on a franchisee based model offering budding entrepreneurs the facility to use technology for e-commerce, education and e-governance.
