Puducherry: The Puducherry Government has drawn up a scheme to distribute gift coupons worth Rs. 1000 to each of the 2388 freedom fighters in the Union Territory as part of the celebrations of the 138th Gandhi Jayanthi Day. Chief Minister N Rangasamy distributed symbolically coupons to some of the freedom fighters here on Thursday. An official release said the coupons would be handed to each freedom fighter between October 3 and November 30.
