BELGAUM: Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Assembly N. Dharam Singh and senior Congress member M. Mallikarjun Kharge have said that the H.D. Kumaraswamy-led coalition government in the State should take serious note of what the Governor said in his address and ensure transparency in administration. In their reaction to the address of the Governor during the special session of the legislature here on Thursday, they said the charges made by the Congress against the Government for the past few months had been reflected in the Governor's address. Mr. Kharge said Mr. Chaturvedi had cautioned the Government over various allegations it was facing and on the deteriorating law and order situation in the State. Leader of the Opposition in the Council H.K. Patil said the Governor had cautioned the Government on various issues, and it was left to the ruling parties on what to make of the suggestions. Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affairs M.P. Prakash said the Governor's address was a message to all legislators and parliamentarians in the country. The Opposition should not politicise the Governor's address and interpret it according to their convenience. The Governor spoke about declining values in the political system, which were applicable to all parties, Mr. Prakash said.
