Water supply to be disrupted today

Staff Reporter

Thiruvananthapuram: The supply of drinking water to areas serviced by the Kerala Water Authority's reservoir in the Observatory Hills will be disrupted from 11 p.m. on September 29 to 6 a.m. on September 30, according to a press note issued here on Thursday.

Areas to be affected

The areas that will be affected include Vellayambalam, Palayam, Sasthamangalam, Vazhuthacaud, Statue, Kunnumpuram, Ayurveda College, Overbridge, Kannammoola, Pettah, Chakka, Veli, PMG and Pattom.

The pumping of water from the Chithirakkunnu filter house at Aruvikkara will be stopped during this time to facilitate repair work on a leaking 1,200 mm PSC pipeline ferrying water from the filter house to the Vellayambalam reservoir.
