The sentences in "One more tourist attraction in Madurai" ("From the South" page, September 28, 2006) was: "The [Pudu] mandapam is located on the eastern side of the Meenakshi Sundareswarar temple, sandwiched between East Chithirai and East Masi Streets. It has 50 ornate sculptures that have been in a state of neglect for long. They include a beautifully carved Sankara Narayanan, Tatatakai (mother of Meenakshi), Gaja Samharar, Brahma, Kalyanasundarar and galloping horses and yalis." A reader points out that Tatakai is the born name of Meenakshi. After marrying Sundareswarar, Tatakai is also known as Meenakshi. Meenakshi's mother's name is Kanchana Malai. Also, the mandapam is sandwiched between East Chithirai and East Avani Moola Streets.

In "Changes in U.S. visa interview appointment" (September 28, 2006), "VFS" stands for Visa Facilitation Service.
