SP members take out march

HUBLI: Members of the Hubli-Dharwad Mahanagar zilla unit of Samajwadi Party took out a protest march here on Thursday in protest against the "failure" of the State and Central Governments.

The protestors marched through the thoroughfares of the city before reaching Kittur Channamma Circle. The protestors shouted slogans against the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and Deputy Chief Minister. They burnt the effigies of the Prime Minister, Chief Minister and the Deputy Chief Minister.

Plea for probe

Party office-bearers addressed the protestors. An inquiry should be conducted into the incidence of corruption in the successive Governments, they said.A memorandum addressed to the Prime Minister was submitted to the Hubli Tahsildar.
