Revoke all unjustified transfers: NGO Association

Staff Reporter

KOLLAM: The Kerala NGO Association has called upon the State Government to `revoke all unjustified transfers.'

In this connection, members of the association staged a dharna in front of the civil station here on Thursday. Inaugurating the dharna, association district president B. Reghu said even after the lapse of the general transfer period, the State Government was continuing the transfers. He said in the Panchayat Department alone, more than eight hundred employees had been transferred out of the district. The transfers in this department were so serious that it will even have an adverse effect on annual plan related duties. Similarly in the Cooperation, Education and Revenue departments, transfers were effected by sideling all established norms. He alleged that the LDF Government was mixing politics with transfers. Members of anti-LDF service organisations were being targeted, he alleged.
