KOCHI: A general body meeting of elected representatives of parishes of the Jacobite Syrian Christian Church will be held in Aluva on Saturday. The meeting, scheduled to begin at 11 a. m., will give shape to a plan of action to retrieve the Thrikkunnathu Seminary and its property. Both legal and Christian means would be employed to retrieve the property that was now being held "without authorisation," said a statement from the Jacobite Church here on Thursday. The meeting would also take decisions based on the spirit of the Supreme Court verdict in 1995 and the decisions of the Mulamthuruthy Synod. About 2,000 elected representatives and 230 priests are expected to participate in the meeting which would be presided over by Catholicos Baselios Thomas I. The statement reiterated that Thrikkunnathu Seminary and its property belonged to the Jacobite Church.
