Land to be handed over to Tatas as scheduled

Special Correspondent

Kolkata: There will be no time overrun for handing over land for the proposed car manufacturing plant of Tata Motors at Singur in West Bengal, Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said here on Thursday.

"There is no time overrun. Everything is all right," Mr. Bhattacharjee said when asked reports that the Tatas could look for other options if the land was not handed over by the year-end.

Land and Land Reforms Minister Abdur Rezzak Mollah said land would be given to Tata Motors after Durga Puja.
