Rajahmundry: Two visually challenged girls studying in Government Arts (Autonomous) College got their admission fee back on Wednesday. District Collector M. Subrahmanyam said college principal Sabhapati arranged cheques for Nagamani and Ramalakshmi of Ist B.A. (special Telugu and English) and handed over the same to them in the presence of the administrative officer of the college and staff. The girls thanked all the students, philanthropists and their teaching faculty. Korukonda Chiranjeevi and Babu Rajendraprasad of SC, ST, BC Welfare Association thanked the Principal, the Collector and media.
Teak seized
Forest officials of the Rajahmundry forest circle have conducted raids in last four days on country boats, in which teak and other varieties of wood, is being illegally transported from other States. According to Chief Conservator of Forest M. Ramprasad, officials of East and West Godavari districts conducted the raids from between September and September 26.
