SOUTH COMES NORTH: Silk saris on show at an exhibition organised by Cooptex at Tamil Nadu House in Chanakyapuri, New Delhi. Inaugurated on Thursday by B. K. Sinha, Development Commissioner for Handlooms, it is on till October 8. The Tamil Nadu Gover nment has announced a 30 per cent rebate on the saris, designed by weavers from Kancheepuram, Coimbatore, Arni and Salem. — PHOTO: R. V. MOORTHY.
