BANGALORE: The Karnataka High Court on Thursday took note of the submission of the State Public Prosecutor (SPP) that the trial of the Dandupalya gang members could not go on because of their unruly, abusive and threatening behaviour and directed the Registry to place files and records of the case before the Chief Justice of the Karnataka High Court for further orders. The trial involving the members of the Dandupalya gang was posted before a Special Court near Parappana Agrahara as they are lodged in the central jail in Bangalore. Justice A.C. Kabbin, who is hearing the matter, passed the order on a petition seeking transfer of the trial from the Special Court to any other court in Bangalore. The petitioner, Shetty said his daughter, Rakshita, was murdered by some members of the Dandupalya gang on February 2, 2000. He alleged that they were abusing, threatening and intimidating the witnesses. Mr. Justice Kabbin disposed of the petition with a direction to place it before the Chief Justice.
