Upa Lokayukta orders probe

BANGALORE: Upa Lokayukta G. Patri Basavana Goud has taken suo motu notice of reports on Turahalli forest land scam and has ordered an investigation into it.

Speaking to presspersons on Friday, Mr. Goud said he was appalled over reports about the massive fabrication of ownership and sale deeds by four persons pertaining to the Turahalli Reserve Forest area. "Such an act cannot be committed without the connivance of revenue officials," Mr. Goud said. Mr. Goud has asked Principal Secretary (Revenue) S.M. Jamdar to send a report in this regard.
