CHENNAI: Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi briefed a Japanese Chamber of Commerce and Industry delegation, led by its Chairman Nobuo Yamaguchi, on the "favourable business climate in the State." He urged the captains of the business industry in Japan to consider investments in the automotive sector and electronics industry.
Specific areas
Talking to presspersons after the 40-minute meeting at the Secretariat on Friday evening, Mr.Yamaguchi said he would convey the Chief Minister's account of the prevailing "favourable business climate in Tamil Nadu" to Japanese businessmen and it was up to them to look at specific investment areas.
Japanese ethics
Mr.Yamaguchi informed the Chief Minister of the Japanese work ethics and that they kept their promise The Chief Minister told the delegation that his government would do the same. Yoshiaki Kodaki, Consul-General of the Japanese Consulate, Chennai; Yuji Okada, Consul; Kenji Higashi, Chairman, The Miyakonojo Chamber of Commerce and Industry and Isamu Nitta, Chairman, Standing Committee, Japan India Business Corporation Committee, were part of the delegation.
