Johannesburg: South Afican batsman Herschelle Gibbs says he wants to put the match-fixing scandal behind him once and for all before the ICC Champions Trophy in India. Gibbs, who has not toured India since 2000 when the scandal broke out, said he was ready to face Delhi police for questioning. ``I have a copy of the questions they (Delhi Police) want to ask. It's the same old stuff that I answered six years ago before the Kings Commission plus one or two others. ``In a way I'm excited about the tournament and for putting this issue behind me but I'm also a bit nervous about meeting the police. "We can only speculate on what is going to happen, but it's definitely time to lay this issue to rest, Gibbs told Bigstarcricket.com. The 32-year-old right handed batsman, who has so far played 79 Tests for South Africa, had admitted accepting money from his former captain Hansie Cronje to score fewer than 20 runs against India in a one-dayer during their 2000 tour.
