Reacting to the Supreme Court verdict giving "temporary relief'' to traders due to the festive season, Mr. Goel said the Group of Ministers (GoM) should not lose any more time and issue directions to the Union Urban Development Ministry to go ahead with implementation of the new Master Plan for Delhi-2021. Mr. Goel said instead of giving false hope and assurances to the people of Delhi, the Union Government as well as the Sheila Dikshit Government should draw up a plan of action to save Delhi from being destroyed.
"The sword of sealing and demolitions continues to hang over the heads of lakhs of traders and the temporary relief was no way going to save their livelihood or those who will face unemployment"
"It is time to put an end to the drama that has been going on for months. The Delhi Government as well as the Union Urban Development Ministry is taking the people of Delhi for a ride and it is time that this matter is resolved once for all,'' he added.
