TIRUPATI: APSRTC's Tirupati region has netted a revenue of Rs.4.10 crores during the last five days of annual Brahmotsavam at Tirumala as against Rs.3.60 crores during the corresponding period last year.

The corporation operated 13,840 trips between Tirupati and Tirumala from September 25 to 29, transporting 4.54 lakh pilgrims, which is an increase of 67,000 pilgrims over last year. The RTC ferried as many as 1,32,765 pilgrims on this route on Friday alone, when the grand event `Garuda Seva' was observed at Tirumala. Teams led by the RTC's executive director U. Sudhakar Rao and regional manager S. Dharma Reddy personally supervised the operations.

The management congratulated the drivers, conductors, mechanical staff, security staff and supervisors for this rare accomplishment.
