NEW DELHI: Two persons have been arrested by the Delhi police for allegedly selling turtles.The police claim to have recovered 24 turtles at their instance. According to the police, Krishnandu Datta was arrested from his residence in Dilshad Garden on Friday. The police recovered 13 turtles from his house. At his instance, the police raided the house of Deepak David at Sahibabad in Ghaziabad and recovered 11 turtles. The police said the two accused were engaged in selling aquariums. While Krishnandu used to procure the turtles from Deepak, the latter would procure them from Ashok Vishwakarma, also a resident of Sahibabad. They entered into the turtle trade to make huge profits.
