NEW DELHI: Advocate Devendra Nath Pal on Saturday alleged that he was deprived of contesting the election of the Delhi Bar Association as his name was deliberately deleted from the voters' list. Mr Pal said he had filed his nomination for the post of President of the Delhi Bar Association at Tis Hazari District Courts in the Capital. However, his name was deleted from the list despite paying the association dues till December 2006. The election of the Bar Association was conducted yesterday and the result was yet to be out declared to fight among various groups. If he did not qualify, why his nomination was accepted at the first instance, asked Mr Pal.He had lodged a written complaint with the Returning Officer of the election and lodged his protest with Delhi High Court Bar Association.- UNI
