Sena calls for removal of Azad

Staff Reporter

NEW DELHI: Taking exception to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Ghulam Nabi Azad and People's Democratic Party president Mehbooba Mufti's appeals for clemency of Mohammed Afzal, accused in the Parliament attack case, the Shiv Sena on Saturday demanded that such leaders be debarred from holding constitutional positions.

In a statement, Delhi State president Jai Bhagwan Goyal said these leaders, particularly the Chief Minister, had taken oath on the Constitution of India and were now seeking pardon for such a hardcore terrorist who posed a threat to national security.
