Ban on bandhs, picketing sought

Puducherry: The Muthialpet Consumer Group has called upon the Union Territory Administration to ban bandhs or road rooks by political parties and other organisations as frequent agitations have been dislocating normal life.

R. Shanmugasundaram, president of the group, said here on Friday that he had brought to the notice of the Pubic Traffic Police Advisory Committee, seeking some alternative system could be evolved to air the grievances of the parties.
