Programme to upgrade managerial skills

Puducherry: The Puducherry unit of the Nehru Yuva Kendra and the Kattabomman Youth Welfare Association, headquartered in the Manavely village of Ariankuppam Assembly constituency here, recently conducted a five-day long training programme to upgrade managerial and administrative skills of the self-help groups' members.

President of the welfare association M. Bakthavatchalam said the training covered a total of 300 volunteers attached to nearly 15 self-help groups. The youth coordinator of the Kendra, Sambathkumar, referred to the importance of the training in management and administration of the self help groups.
