Only one question paper for science examination

Bangalore: The Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examination for the academic year 2006-07 will start on March 21, 2007.

The Karnataka Secondary Education Examination Board (KSEEB) had called for suggestions for changes in the science examination. The Board has considered the various suggestions given and decided to have one question paper for the science examination. The science examination will be for three hours.

According to a press release from the KSEEB here on Saturday, in the first and third language papers, Part A and Part B carry 40 per and 60 per cent marks respectively, 35 per cent and 65 per cent for second language and 60 per cent and 40 per cent for the core subjects.

All this has been included in the blueprint, which has been supplied by the KSEEB to all schools. The Board has also decided to have only one scheme of examination based on the current textbooks for the 10th standard.
