Kottayam: Chief Minister V.S. Achuthanandan will present the PKV Award to Communist Party of India State Secretary Veliyam Bharghavan at a function at Kidangoor here on Monday. At a news conference here on Saturday, Mons Joseph, MLA, and V.B. Binu said the award was instituted by the PKV Centre for Human Development and Cultural Affairs to honour persons with clean political image. The award carries a cash prize of Rs. 10,001, citation and memento. — UNI
