HYDERABAD: They were in perfect alphabetical order, from `A' for Abbas, `B' for Bharat and `N' for Nagarjuna to `V' for Victory Venkatesh, just to name a few. The first two represented the Tamil film industry and the other two were from Telugu filmdom, battling for honours on the inaugural day of the Chief Minister's Cup State-level sports meet.

Telugu stars drove home with the cup. Batting first, our local heroes piled up 193 for four wickets in 24 wickets. Chasing the total, the visitors from Chennai could only manage 159, losing five wickets.

Fans screamed in joy seeing their favourite stars and the Lal Bahadur Stadium here was almost full.

The most glamorous of the lot was easily the `Bommarillu' girl Genelia. Security personnel had a tough time keeping overzealous fans at bay.
