Closure of liquor shops ordered

BANGALORE: City Police Commissioner Neelam Achuta Rao has ordered closure of all liquor and arrack outlets in some parts of the city on Monday and Tuesday in view of Dasara. In a press release, Mr. Rao said temples held chariot festivals to mark the culmination of Navaratri festivities and people would participate in them in large numbers.

In order to maintain law and order, the ban would be enforced in J.C. Nagar, R.T. Nagar, Hebbal, Sanjaynagar, Bharati Nagar and D.J. Halli police station limits from 6 a.m. of October 2 till 9 a.m. of October 3.
