SALEM: The Sarva Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) has started conducting camps for the distribution of identity cards to the disabled persons aged from 0 to 18 in the district on Monday. The camps will be conducted in the following places till October 31: October 2-6: Government Medical College Hospital (For those living in Salem Rural, Salem Urban, Panamarathupatti, Veerapandi, Yercaud, Mahudanchavadi, Ayodhyapattinam and Vazhapadi), October 9 - 13: Government Hospital, Attur (Peddanaickanpalayam, Attur, Talavasal and Gengavalli) October 16 - 20: Government Hospital, Mettur (Nangavalli, Mecheri and Kolathur), October 23-27: Government Hospital, Omalur (Kdaiyampatti, Omalur and Taramangalam) and October 30 - 31: Government Hospital, Sankagiri (Edaipadi, Konganapuram and Sankagiri). The persons will be given free treatment during the camp. Free transport and food will be arranged for the persons. More information can be had from the nearby Block Resource Centre.
