The jury of Jodi No.1
CHENNAI: Vijay TV is all set to launch Jodi No.1, a dance show on the lines of popular STAR show `Nach Baliye'. It has roped in eight celebrity couples popular among Tamil audiences and experienced, versatile choreographers. Programme organisers say `Jodi No.1' is a revolutionary concept and will change the way media looks at television stars here. The show will comprise reality and studio episodes. The reality episodes will capture candid moments during the rehearsals, the hard work and the emotions the couples undergo in their quest to become Jodi No.1. The studio episodes will be performance-oriented where the celebrities will showcase their dancing talent in front of the judges. They will be tested in various styles including folk, western and freestyle. There are four real life couples Chetan - Devadarshini, Vijay Adhiraj-Rashna, Rajkamal-Latha Rao and Raghav- Preetha. The reel life couples include Bharath Kalyan-Shilpa, Prem-Kutty, Rishi-Pooja, Tharika-Deepak. Every week, one couple will get eliminated. Grand sets and celebrity judges including Ramya Krishnan, dance master Kala and actor Prasanth will surprise the audience by walking into the sets from October 7 (at 8 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays).
