Bank manager convicted

BANGALORE:
The special judge for Central Bureau of Investigation judges on Saturday convicted a manager and an officer of Syndicate Bank for criminal conspiracy, criminal breach of trust, forgery and misappropriation of bank funds and sentenced them to rigorous imprisonment. The XXI Additional City Civil and Sessions Judge Sudhakar Pandit sentenced N. R. Bhat, Manager of Syndicate Bank, Divisional Office on Mahatma Gandhi Road for five years rigorous imprisonment and imposed a fine of Rs. 74,000. G Venkataramani, officer, in the Malleswaram Circle branch of the bank, was sentenced to four years rigorous imprisonment.
