Musharraf & media

The memoirs of a leader with a tenuous hold over a country plagued by fundamentalism need not evoke any concern in India. Let our leaders and intellectuals not give much attention to Gen. Musharraf's In the Line of Fire, which seeks to justify wrongs.

Aravind Sridhar,
New Delhi

The media hype over the book is not only surprising but also ridiculous. By glorifying the Pakistani incursions in the Indian territory, Gen. Musharraf has made his intentions amply clear.

Rudhir Prakash Sarma,
Guwahati
