Historic feat by Alka

New Delhi: Alka Tomar scripted history by winning the bronze medal for India in the women's category at the senior World wrestling championships in Guangzhou in China.

Alka won the medal in the 59-kg class bringing laurels for the country after a gap of 39 years, a press release from the Wrestling Federation of India, said.

The competition was held from September 25 to October — PTI
