Samiyar Thottam CC posts win

Dindigul: An unbroken second wicket partnership of 138 between Brucele (66 not out) and Abudhahir (60 not out) helped Samiyar Thottam Cricket Club defeat R.S. Kothandaraman Memorial Cricket Club by nine wickets in a Dindigul District Cricket Association second division league match here.

The scores:

R.S. Kothandaraman Memorial CC 151 in 25 overs (Selvakumar three for 28, Balu three for 41) lost to Samiyar Thottam CC 152 for one in 24 overs (Brucele 66 not out, Abudhahir 60 not out).

All rounders CC 154 for six in 25 overs (Saravanan 43 not out, I. Dominic Samson four for 28) bt Buds Hindu Vidyalaya, Ottanchantram, 147 for nine in 25 overs (Mohan 39, Senthil 32).

R.S. Kothandaraman Memorial CC 95 in 21 overs (P. Madhan five for 23, P. Raghu three for 15) bt Free Birds CC 78 in 20.1 overs (Mayank Singh four for 10, Rajinikannan three for 19).

Nathan scores century

At Tuticorin, a scintillating 111 by S.P. Nathan helped Classic Cricket Club chalk out a 146-run victory over Sealines Cricket Club in the Tuticorin District Cricket Association first division league on Sunday.

The scores:

First division: Classic CC 263 in 43 overs (S.P. Nathan 111) bt Sealines CC 117 in 33 overs (Ramesh 45, Jinna 32).

Pusco CC 175 in 43.4 overs (Narasimhan 37, Nevanth 34) lost to Power CC 178 for two in 27.2 overs (Muthu Kumaran 43, Jagan 65 not out).

Second division: Analmin CC 217 in 39.5 overs (Saravanan 36) bt Young Waves CC 122 on 25.1 overs (Sathesh 40 not out, Senthil 37).

Third division: TRC CC `A' 170 in 33.5 overs (Vasanth 33, Vijay 40) bt Ramesh Flowers CC 166 in 27 overs (Godson 31 not out, Dhanraj 45, Vasanth four for 34).

TAC CC 40 in 18.1 overs (Nataraj four for five including a hat-trick, Velu four for 14) lost to TRC CC `B' 42 without loss in 41 overs.

MSP Club triumphs

At Madurai, MSP Club won the title in the Madurai District Carrom league, sponsored by Kamaraj Carrom Club and organised by Madurai Distirct Carrom Association, defeating Divya Club 2-1 here on Monday.

The results:

Final: MSP Club bt Divya Club 2-1 (Palpandi bt S. Jeevanandam 23-7, 5-25, 25-16; S. Mani lost to G. Devashayam 8-25, 13-25; N. Balamurugan bt P. Ravichandran 9-25, 11-9, 21-8). Semifinals: MSP Club bt SCT Club 2-1; Divya Club bt Anchor Club 3-0.
