Good response for clinic

BANGALORE: There has been a good response for the forthcoming badminton clinic to be conducted here by the Danish badminton legend, Morten Frost. About 50 coaches, from all over Karnataka, will attend Frost's sessions, which kicks off from October.16.

According to the former National coach U. Vimal Kumar, who is the chairman of the Development Committee, Karnataka Badminton Association, the KBA wishes to accommodate as many district coaches as possible for the clinic.

"For coaches in districts, it is a huge opportunity to learn and observe from Frost, one of the all-time greats of the game", he told The Hindu.

Frost, a former World No.1, who also has the distinction of becoming the game's first millionaire, will arrive here on October 14 and along with his friend Prakash Padukone, will play an exhibition match of Oct. 15.

He last visited Bangalore 23 years ago and played a similar tie with Padukone when both were at their peak. — Special Correspondent
