Staff Reporter
NEW DELHI:
The 40-year-old wife of a businessman was stabbed to death allegedly by four masked men at her Civil Lines residence near Raj Nivas Marg in North Delhi on Tuesday. Her domestic help sustained injuries while purportedly trying to save her.
In a statement to the police, the domestic help said the murder came to light around 8-30 p.m. when he returned from the market and found some masked men stabbing Charanjeet Kaur, wife of Gurcharan Singh.
The domestic help purportedly raised an alarm and tried to save Ms. Kaur, at which the assailants attacked him and fled. Ms. Kaur was rushed to Parmanand Hospital where she was declared dead on arrival.
A case of murder has been registered at the Civil Lines police station.
